DESCRIPTION:Welcome East Sunshine Church Family and Friends to this Advent Season. \nAdvent is a four-week period leading up to Christmas for remembering and celebrating Jesus’ birth. The purpose of this Daily Advent Engagement is to focus our minds\, hearts and spirits on Jesus. We hope this helps center you and ground you in the glory\, goodness and love of God the Father\, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. \nEach of the 4 weeks will coincide with the Sunday morning Sermon Theme (However\, if you miss a sermon\, don’t worry. You can still engage in that week’s advent.): \n\nWeek 1: December 1-7 Oh Come\, Oh Come Emmanuel\nWeek 2: December 8-14 Mary Did You Know\nWeek 3: December 15-21 Silent Night & Hark the Herald Angels Sing\nWeek 4: December 22-24 Joy to the World\n\n  \nInstructions:\n\nYou may do this Daily Advent Engagement with you and God\, with your family and God\, with a friend and God\, etc.\nChoose any time each day that works for you.\nFirst\, always do the top portion with the brief write-up and scripture readings.\nThen\, choose what you would like to do from the “Optional Engagements” sections. You can choose to do one or multiple.\nIf you miss a day\, don’t fret it. Just jump back in the next day. Each day can stand alone\, and does not require that you do each day.\nA playlist of all the songs has been created on Spotify for your convenience! If you don’t have Spotify\, you can play the songs on another streaming device\, YouTube\, etc.\nIf you don’t understand a concept\, idea\, or story – or if you would like to pursue more discussion over a day/topic – reach out to someone at church.\nEnjoy God!\n\nDaily Advent Optional Engagements include: Ponder\, Meditate\, Action\, Create\, Journal\, Liturgy\, Family Activity\, Breath Prayer\, Pray\, Playlist\, and Share.\n*Breath Prayer – a short prayer you can say all throughout your day that fits easily into one inhale and exhale.
