Every continent\, every denomination\, every generation – coming together to hear the story of the global Church. @Gather25 will be a historic moment of prayer\, worship\, repentance\, and commissioning. We\, as East Sunshine Church of Christ\, will be a satellite site for anyone to come participate in Springfield\, MO (starting the evening of February 28\, 2025). Plan to join us for this amazing time of prayer and community not only in our city but around the world!  \nGather25 is an unprecedented 25-hour global broadcast event telling the story and mission of the global Church\, by the global Church. SUMMARY:The Miracle League Buddie program
DESCRIPTION:We are looking for volunteers (buddies) to help The Miracle League ball players. Games will be during the months of April and May. You do not need to know anything about baseball\, you just need to show God’s love towards individuals with disabilities. If you are interested in participating in this outreach please sign up at the link below by Sunday\, March 2\, 2025.\n\n\n \n\n\nMiracle League buddies are volunteers ranging in age from 12 years to senior citizens. These include family members\, local youth and civic groups. Though we call them buddies\, many people refer to these volunteers as angels in the outfield. We focus on:\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEncouragement\n\n\nPlaying baseball and having fun\n\n\nSafety first\n\n\n\n \n\n\nThe following are the goals for Miracle League buddies:\n\n\n\nAlways allow the Miracle League player as much freedom as possible to play his/her own game\n\n\nArrive at the field 30 minutes prior to game time\n\n\nAssist Miracle League player according to their needs\n\n\nBe of good spirit with enthusiasm\, love\, good attitude and concern in motivating the players and their families\n\n\nBe properly dressed and clean dressed in buddies shirt\n\n\nBecome a friend; get to know the players and their families\n\n\nDemonstrate high morals and integrity on and off the field\n\n\nProtect the Miracle League player at all times\n\n\nWhen a hard hitter is up to bat\, buddies are to step in front of the Miracle League player for protection.\n\n\n\n \n\n\nThe games are one hour long and there will be one to two games per week. SUMMARY:Bingo Night Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Silent Auction\, Raffles\, Pizza\, Bake sale\, and Bingo games with prizes. \nMoney earned will help fund the teens trip to Nicaragua in July. Teens that are going on the trip will be pre-selling bingo cards and raffle tickets. We will have 2 raffles this year. One will be for Chiefs tickets on the 50 yard line\, game to be determined. The second will be for a chance to see the Springfield Cardinals for up to 18 tickets while enjoying the luxury of a suite\, and a $200 food voucher. We are looking forward to a great night to support our teens! \nWe are still happily accepting any silent auction donations until February 23.
