SUMMARY:Marriage Seminar - HIS SHOES\, HER SHOES
DESCRIPTION:What is His Shoes/ Her Shoes?\n“Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes” and you begin to understand them. Men and women are told a lot about what it means to be a good husband or wife respectively\, but they also need to understand what it is like to be the other spouse. Beyond a “Mars/Venus” approach that recognizes that men and women are different\, this seminar shows that it is exactly the way that God intended it to be and that those differences actually fit and benefit the marriage relationship. \nThis 1-day seminar (Saturday or Sunday) includes Biblical teaching for husbands and wives as well as break-out sessions to discuss the God given design for marriage. Participants will understand the importance of their spouse as well as their own role and responsibility. The seminar can be modified to fit any schedule or meet specific needs. \nThe material is suitable for both Christian and non-Christian couples. DESCRIPTION:We are looking for volunteers (buddies) to help The Miracle League ball players. Games will be during the months of April and May. You do not need to know anything about baseball\, you just need to show God’s love towards individuals with disabilities. If you are interested in participating in this outreach please sign up at the link below by Sunday\, March 2\, 2025.\n\n\n \n\n\nMiracle League buddies are volunteers ranging in age from 12 years to senior citizens. These include family members\, local youth and civic groups. Though we call them buddies\, many people refer to these volunteers as angels in the outfield. We focus on:\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEncouragement\n\n\nPlaying baseball and having fun\n\n\nSafety first\n\n\n\n \n\n\nThe following are the goals for Miracle League buddies:\n\n\n\nAlways allow the Miracle League player as much freedom as possible to play his/her own game\n\n\nArrive at the field 30 minutes prior to game time\n\n\nAssist Miracle League player according to their needs\n\n\nBe of good spirit with enthusiasm\, love\, good attitude and concern in motivating the players and their families\n\n\nBe properly dressed and clean dressed in buddies shirt\n\n\nBecome a friend; get to know the players and their families\n\n\nDemonstrate high morals and integrity on and off the field\n\n\nProtect the Miracle League player at all times\n\n\nWhen a hard hitter is up to bat\, buddies are to step in front of the Miracle League player for protection.\n\n\n\n \n\n\nThe games are one hour long and there will be one to two games per week.
