DESCRIPTION:IGNITE is a daycamp for kids 3 years old through students entering the 5th grade.  The camp runs from 8am-3pm and includes breakfast\, lunch and snack.  IGNITE is broken up into a morning reading and STEM enrichment time followed by an afternoon VBS.  In addition the kids will enjoy fun games and activities scheduled throughout the day.  This event is completely free!  Our mission and vision for IGNITE is to target children in our Springfield community who may have limited opportunity to participate in educational enrichment activities outside of the regular school year.  Above all\, our desire is to carry out the mission of Jesus and to make Him known.  We want children and families to experience the love of Jesus and live out our mission\, “Jesus Loves\, so We Love”! \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:The Miracle League Buddie program
DESCRIPTION:We are looking for volunteers (buddies) to help The Miracle League ball players. Games will be during the months of April and May. You do not need to know anything about baseball\, you just need to show God’s love towards individuals with disabilities. If you are interested in participating in this outreach please sign up at the link below by Sunday\, March 2\, 2025.\n\n\n \n\n\nMiracle League buddies are volunteers ranging in age from 12 years to senior citizens. These include family members\, local youth and civic groups. Though we call them buddies\, many people refer to these volunteers as angels in the outfield. We focus on:\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEncouragement\n\n\nPlaying baseball and having fun\n\n\nSafety first\n\n\n\n \n\n\nThe following are the goals for Miracle League buddies:\n\n\n\nAlways allow the Miracle League player as much freedom as possible to play his/her own game\n\n\nArrive at the field 30 minutes prior to game time\n\n\nAssist Miracle League player according to their needs\n\n\nBe of good spirit with enthusiasm\, love\, good attitude and concern in motivating the players and their families\n\n\nBe properly dressed and clean dressed in buddies shirt\n\n\nBecome a friend; get to know the players and their families\n\n\nDemonstrate high morals and integrity on and off the field\n\n\nProtect the Miracle League player at all times\n\n\nWhen a hard hitter is up to bat\, buddies are to step in front of the Miracle League player for protection.\n\n\n\n \n\n\nThe games are one hour long and there will be one to two games per week.
